This 514 acre park is known for its mudflats. The Dosewallips River flows right through the center of the park, making for a down and dirty ride for diehard mountain bikers. You can cruise the 4-mile trail at brisk speeds, but be prepared for big uphills climbs and narrow paths around beach areas. Riders are also welcome to scout out their own trail through the wilderness, which you'll share with neighboring deer, bald eagles and small rodents. This is a semi-challenging ride, even for those with lots of power behind their pedals.

There are 1 million acres of land that make up the Colville National Forest. This northeastern Washington park covers three mountain ranges and a channel of water. Serious bike enthusiasts will love the challenge of forging their own trail up hills, down valleys, and around mountain ranges. Bring waterproof gear along for the ride. Parts of this wilderness area are situated on the wet slopes of the Selkirk Mountains. Riders are allowed to share clean, groomed trails with hikers or make their own way through the forest. Serious riders only!

Fort Flagler is surrounded on three sides by 19, 100 feet of saltwater shoreline. This old military post not only has some great trails, but also four primitive bike campsites, specially equipped with all the necessities. There are 13 miles of difficult countryside to ride, but true bikers won't be disappointed!
FLAMING GEYSER STATE PARK

Flaming Geyser is the site of a former coal mine located just downstream from the Green River gorge. Bubbling geysers and small, flaming geysers are part of what draw people here. Hikers and bikers share clean paved roads that travel some 38 miles. This ride is perfect for any skill level. Those with more experience can test the trails through the gorge area, which plummet straight down.

Experienced mountain bikers will want to gear up for a wild ride through the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Thick with trees, this is a backcountry, give-it-all-you-got trek. There are 7 trails to choose from, all passing through or around lakes and streams.

Here's a ride the whole family can do! There are about 6 miles of trails here, all well managed. Trails weave through the park and around the lake. The ride is smooth and clean and easy to travel.

Originally built for the U.S. Army at the turn of the century, this now decommissioned fort still houses Victorian styled barracks and officers' quarters. It also holds some of the best paved biking roads in all of Washington. Ten miles of paved roads run through this park, and are shared by runners and bikers. This is an easy to moderate ride that can be shared with any skill level. More experienced bikers can try and conquer the 6 miles of woodlands trails that climb hills and weave across fields. Day use at this park is free.
OKANOGAN NATIONAL FOREST

Expert bikers won't want to miss this amazing ride. Riders can pedal across the Columbia River and through mountain passes exceeding 9,000 feet. There are 1.7 million acres that make up the Okanogan National Forest, and you're welcome to use any of it. Bikers often blaze their own trail around here. A huge portion of this park is forested, so helmets are highly recommended.
